I got a TOTO K300 about a week ago mainly for the hot water and the brand's good reputation, but I'm starting to doubt my choice. I've seen some posts and videos that show how dirt collects in places like the seams, under the seat, and behind the nozzle flap, areas that are hard to clean without taking it apart. The heated seat seems to hold on to smells too, and that $120 filter each year can really add up.

Honestly, daily deep cleaning feels like a lot of work for what's essentially a pricey $900 seat. Is anyone else having similar issues, do you think it's worth the trouble, or should I consider getting a simpler, non-electric bidet?

Yeah, the TOTO's great but cleaning can be a hassle, especially with those hidden spots. Are you thinking of sticking with it or switching to a simpler, low-maintenance bidet?

You’re not wrong, the K300 does have more nooks than a basic attachment. Most owners I know end up settling into a quick weekly wipe routine and stop noticing the smell issue once the filter’s broken in. If low maintenance is the priority, a non electric setup might honestly be less mental overhead.
